Bought this on Sept 13 2011, I installed this coil in a different cylinder that the old one was in to make sure it was not something on car that caused the old coil to go bad. Well 31 days later and 1 day past the return date the new coil malfunctioned. So I moved it to a different cylinder and the problem followed to that cylinder. This tells me the problem is the new coil and not my car. NOT HAPPY Saved hundreds fixing this myself, By

My 2006 Toyota RAV4 was reporting misfires and specifically a cylinder 2 issue. From my research online, this repair would have easily been 0+ anywhere. Paired with my OBD code reader, I was able to confirm which cylinder was having the problem. Luckily for me, the ignition coil for this cylinder is on the front of the engine. The replacement took less than 5 minutes with a socket wrench. Easiest repair I have ever done. I was happy to see that the part that came out and the new one were nearly identical. The Beck Arnley part even said “Toyota” right on it, but there was a small difference in the model number. Don’t spend more going to the dealer for this part. My guess is that the parts they sell come from the same manufacturer. I installed this part over 30 days ago, and the problem has not come back. |
