I installed this system on my 01 Silverado ext cab short box with the 5.3. Installation was easy, for the most part. Only took about 2 hours start to finish for the initial install, about another hour or so of messing with it to get it adjusted right. Like other reviews for these kits say, installation goes easier with the spare tire removed. (I also found that you can remove the stock system without cutting it up by removing the spare tire as well as lifting the truck up slightly with a jack). For the adjusting part: I had some clearance issues with the pipe for the drivers side dual that runs around the rear axle, it wanted to rub on the transfer case cover, but after some messing around with it I was able to find the right angle. The passenger side dual also had some clearance issues with the rear shock before it was welded, it wouldn’t stay in place, instead it would rotate and rub on the dust cover for the shock, melting it.
